Skier wanted by policeBritish Transport Police and Transport for London have condemned a skier for a 'dangerous' and 'irresponsible' act on the London Underground. The skier, recording his actions using a head-mounted camera, clipped into his skis at the top of London Underground's longest escalator and took off down to the bottom - almost 200 feet. Other passengers were around at the time, and the skier then had a conversation with a man at the bottom. It's not known for sure whether this man was a friend ensuring the path was clear, or just another Tube user. It's thought that the video may be as much as a year or more old, and under bye-laws BTP cannot prosecute an action after six months, unless someone is hurt. Public opinion is divided on the stunt. The video has been viewed over 800,000 times, and comments on YouTube vary from blasting him for the possibility of hurting someone to praising him for livening up the boring daily routine. |
