Baltimore, MD - May 22, 2006 - It was announced today that Lynda M. Clarizio, a business executive at AOL, has been named president of Advertising.com, a unit of AOL LLC. Clarizio joins Advertising.com from a seven-year tenure at AOL where she most recently served as executive vice president of AOL's Audience Business. In that role, she was responsible for strategy, finance and business development, reporting to Audience Business president and vice chairman of AOL, Ted Leonsis. Clarizio was the driving force behind AOL's acquisition of Advertising.com two years ago. She also was a key member of the leadership team at AOL that developed the strategy and business plan for the free ad-supported AOL.com portal and for AOL's renewed focus on its advertising business.
As president of Advertising.com, Clarizio will lead the company that has become the #1 third-party display advertising network in the U.S. She will report to Mike Kelly, president of AOL Media Networks, which oversees Advertising.com.
