HP Expands Relationship with Compuware

Five-year services agreement to strengthen Compuware’s ability to rapidly, efficiently deliver software and documentation to customers worldwide

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 10, 2006 -- HP today announced that it has been chosen as the global service provider for Compuware Corporation’s software product fulfillment and supply chain management. The five-year agreement expands a longstanding relationship between the companies.

Through this agreement, HP will help Compuware strengthen its ability to rapidly deliver software and documentation to customers around the world.

HP becomes the single point of accountability for management of Compuware’s product fulfillment supply chain for its physical and electronic software. This includes business processes, global infrastructure and delivery centers in the United States, and eventually, in Europe and Asia.

As a result, Compuware is able to deliver software and documentation to customers worldwide through a leaner supply chain that speeds time to market, lowers costs and improves customer and channel partner satisfaction. Compuware customers continue to have rapid access to the latest versions of Compuware software in whatever format they prefer, including electronic delivery.

“HP has been a dedicated and trusted service provider to Compuware,” said Missy Root, vice president, Global Distribution, Licensing and Support, Compuware. “The industry knowledge and experience of the HP team – combined with their robust systems and seamless quality processes – mean that Compuware can expect on-time, accurate delivery to its customers at minimal cost with the highest level of service. “

As part of the agreement, HP will provide product and order fulfillment for the hundreds of orders processed weekly for nearly 150 Compuware software products. To do this, HP will leverage its material requirements planning and inventory management processes to provide order management, commodity supplier management, on-demand printing, software replication, assembly, order fulfillment, and product distribution services to Compuware’s customers and channel partners worldwide.

“Compuware has a broad software product offering with a global customer base that requires short order fulfillment lead times and best total cost,” said Bob Shultz, vice president, Business Process Outsourcing, HP Services. “We are continuing to help Compuware transform its supply chain to deliver measurable results that will positively impact the company’s business and financial goals while improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.”
