May 31, 2006 -- As May devolved into its final holiday weekend, which marks the start of summer, the Google Weekly Zeitgeist illuminates both the seasonal (blockbuster movies, sports) as well as the newsworthy (Kimberly Dozier, Dixie Chicks). Of special note this week is the obsession - there is no other word for it - of those seeking information on the X-Men characters and the actors who play them, which comprise a third of this week's list. Next up in fascination: the American Idol TV phenom, 3 of whose keywords appear this week.
