BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 2005--FreeWave Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of premium quality spread spectrum radios and wireless solutions for industrial, scientific, military and commercial applications, today announced a fully integrated, totally wireless sensor monitoring solution in a wireless IO product, FGRIO. FreeWave's wireless IO system is an end-to-end solution allowing for communication and diagnostics from a central location to instruments in the field, eliminating the cost of trenching, increasing safety and bringing automation to the entire site.
The system uses wireless technology to link computer desktops to wellheads in the field. Currently, companies are concerned with the expense required to dig trenches, and manage wire degradation due to corrosive gases, environmental toxins and other threats, such as livestock.
